Title: about IUPAC bioplastic definition.

According to IUPAC Recommendation 2012,
bioplastic : Biobased polymer derived from the biomass or issued from monomers derived from the biomass and which, at some stage in its processing into finished products, can be shaped by flow.
At last, 'can be shaped by flow.', I don't understand what that means. Can't be shaped by flow means not a bioplastic?? why difined so?

I would interpret it to mean that it is a polymer that is a thermoplastic as some point in its production chain - i.e. one that can be melted and reformed into a different shape upon cooling. If it can't be shaped at some point via a melt stage, it's not a very useful material.
