Title: What would be some real life examples of ionic strength and activity?
Post by: humor5211 on July 13, 2021, 05:30:32 AM
I just learned about the non-ideal situation of liquid mixture solution.

I get the concept and calculations stuff, but wondering where in our life does these seemingly 'minor factors' turns into 'must-considered factors'.
Pretty sure it's important in the industry scenes.

Any comments would be much appreciated!

Not exactly addressing your question, but look here here for an example of possible differences: https://www.chembuddy.com/?left=pH-calculation&right=ionic-strength-activity-coefficients

What do you know about buffers and pH?
