Post by: xshadow on August 27, 2021, 05:23:23 AM
I don't undersant if the mercury is in a liquid state or solid or in an amalgam

I think also at the droplet mercury electrode....the droplet in order to not fall should be solid?? ???

Liquid.

the droplet in order to not fall should be solid?

It is kept in place by surface tension.

Old style polarography electrodes were actually dropping after they grew beyond the size at which the surface tension was capable of keeping them in place.
