Title: Chemical kinetics
Post by: azer on September 15, 2021, 01:04:38 PM
Hi, I haven't figured out what would be the effect of temperature change on this reaction, and why so. Thanks for any hint!

2CaCO3(s) + 2SO2(g) + O2(g) → 2CaSO4(s) + 2CO2(g)

Personally, I have thought about using the Gibbs free energy, but this would only tell me if the reaction is nonspontaneous (i.e., and the input of external energy is necessary for the reaction to occur) and then it is spontaneous (occurs without external energy input)

Once again, I really appreciate any of your ideas and hints
THANKS A LOT  :) ;D

Do you know the Arrhenius equation?

No, I haven't heard about it. I will look into it
thanks
