Studying the liquid gaschromagraphy principles I don't undertstand one crucial thing...
Suppose we have a mixtures.
When we vaporize the mixture will ALL the components enter in the gaschromatographic coloumn (and there each one will be separated thanks a distribution equilibrium controlled by the Henry Constant - I suppose) OR in the coloumn will arrive only first the the most volatile compound ,than the second one, than the third.
i.e IS the separation between compounds done before they enter in the coloumn or is done later, in the coloumn itself? Thanks :)

Separation occurs in the column.

Hi, xshadow!
The separation between compounds occurs in the column, by modulating the oven temperature :)
Best regards!
