Will citric acid react with methylparaben sodium or propylparaben sodium?

If you compare hydroxymethylbenzoate and citric acid, wich is more acidic?

Parabens sodium are very slightly basic. I read that citric acid is not compatible with parabens sodium. I am wondering whether there is some kind of reaction leading to degradation of parabens.

You will get precipitation of methyl paraben as free phenol.
