Title: Which statement is true for both simple cell and electrolytic cell?

A. Oxidation occurs at cathode while Reduction occurs at the anode
B. Anions are discharged at the anode
C. Cations are discharged at the cathode
D. electricity is produced during the reaction


I think it's A but my friend disagrees. Am very new to the site if i missed anything please let me know. Thanks in advance!
