 Note: I don't know anything about biochemistry. This question pertains to biological molecule and reaction stoichiometry and limiting reactant.


Molecule 1 (C7H10O) is a precursor for the synthesis of huperzine A, a naturally occurring neuroprotective molecule with potential for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. A three-step synthesis to generate molecule 1 was published in 2012:

Now how to answer the following questions (a), (b), (c), (d),(e) and (f)?

In fact, i don't know this chemical reaction.

You don't need to know this specific reaction, or indeed anything about biochemistry. You have all the information you need to answer the questions.

You know how to determine the limiting reagent, don't you? You've done that before? You know how to determine the percentage yield?

Do you know how to calculate the overall yield of a multi-step reaction, given the yields of the individual steps?
