Title: Chromatography - Causes of Tailing
Post by: bigbenz on April 12, 2022, 09:11:32 AM
In chromatography, which of the following may have caused tailing (the formation of bands of the components)?

a. Overloading of the samples
b. Use of wrong mobile phase
c. Chamber is unsaturated
d. Both a and b
e. All of the above

My answer so far is A and B. But I'm not sure if letter C is correct. Need help. Does unsaturated chamber cause tailing in chromatography?
