Title: amidoxime to oxadiazole
Post by: sharbeldam on July 17, 2022, 09:07:24 AM
Im just looking for a reference for this reaction, i looked up amidoxime reactions, and it looks similar to the reaction of amidoxime with carbonyls (aldehyde/ketone), but here it was with carboxylic acid, Any paper that shows all the reactions of amidoximes? cause if i would have made a guess, i would say that the carboxylic acid can just take a hydrogen from the amine.

Please the reaction name/paper/source would be greatly appreciated

The carboxyl first form a amide with the NH2, then the ring closes as it looses water.
