Title: Titration/pH help
Post by: thotpatrol on August 24, 2022, 07:10:35 PM
Hi, if i'm trying to find the pH of an initial substance through titration, how would i do that?
I used 0.1M of NaOH and i know the amount of NaOH used during the titration
is there possible way I would be able to find the pH of the analyte?

Titration is a method for finding concentration/amount of substance, you can't use it to determine pH.

Edit: broadly speaking if you know the substance and you find its concentration, you might be able to calculate the initial solution pH. But it is much easier, much faster and much more accurate to just measure the pH.

I think it is not possible if the type of the substance is not known.
