Dear Reader,
As part of a piece of work I'm conducting, I need to 'cure' a number of small devices (essentially adsorbent bonded to glass fibre filter papers which must remain flat) at 300C in a Nitrogen atmosphere. The problem is, the ovens that we have with gas inlets only go up to 220C and the ovens that go up to 300C don't have gas inlets. I doubt that a completely inert and oxygen free atmosphere is essential so I was wondering if it might be possible to jury rig a solution to this using commonly available lab equipment...
Can anyone suggest any solutions to this problem? I have a few ideas, but would be interested to see other people's take on this...
