Explain the reaction between benzene sulphonyl chloride and NaOH.
I am stuck at the point that HCl will release from the reaction i.e NaOH will give H+ but it is a base right? Then how?
-
NaOH will give H+
Please elaborate, apparently you are confusing something - NaOH will consume H+, not produce one.

Try carrying out the reaction between the two molecules.

I don't think HCl is a product of this reaction.
