A 10.00ml sample of an unknown aqueous nickel(II) solution was treated and found to produce 0.0532 g Ni(DMG)2 precipitate. Calculate the percent Nikckel in the ore sample.
i went from 0.0532/58.7 and got 9.00x10-4 .. im pretty sure im not on the rite track
Answer 0.108% nickel

MM of (DMG)2Ni is 288.7
-
i got it now...
0.0532g g of Ni(DMG)2 x 1 mol / 288.7 MM = 1.84 x 10-4 mols
1.84 x 10-4 mol x 58.7g Ni / mol = 0.0108g Ni
0.0108g x mL / 10.00g = 0.000108g x 100 = 0.108%

OK
