Post by: beaver on April 05, 2004, 12:51:41 PM
Is there an easy way to test 50%NaOH for purity?

Edit: edited title for better indexing. Mitch

LOL!  I am asking bc in a lab experiment we used what was thought to be 50% NaOH but it was found not to be bc nobody's experiement worked except for those that it took it straight out of the NaOH bottle.

Just do a titration. And I don't want to hear any complaining, I had to do an air sensitive titration, and I did it under an hour it's no big deal. :P
