I am trying to draw the structures for the carbonyl electrophile and enolate nucleophile that react to give the enone below. I have attempted this question, but it is wrong. I don't know what structures to draw. Can someone please show me? Thank you so much!!
ps. First picture is the enone
second picture is my unsuccessful attempt. :'(

Try counting carbons again.

ok..the enone has 14 and my attempt has 16. this is how I modified it. Can you please show me if I am still wrong? I really don't know how to attempt this anymore....time is running out on me :'(
I hope this is right....

Think about the product you would get from that aldol condensation. Are all of your carbons in the right place?
-
are you hinting that it would be like this? ;)
Sorry if this is suppose to be very obvious, I think I am starting to can't think propperly and panicking. Is it like this?? :-\
