Hi, is thee colour of "Bromthymol Blue" green(No H+ or OH- added)?
When adding HCl, the "Bromthymol Blue" becomes yellow because in the equilibrium reaction HIn = H+ + In-, addition of H+ shifts the reaction left. But as the colour becomes yellow, is that called a new equilibrium state?

Also, generally, if there is a shift to one side of the reaction! After shifting, will it reach a new state of equilibrium?
