Title: store and preparate arsenic samples
Post by: dailan on December 19, 2006, 03:08:35 AM
hi, everyone.

My research is removal arsenic from groundwater. So I will have to determine arsenic concentration in solution by ICP_MS. But I don't know how to store and preparate samples for analysis. If you know, help me please.
Thanks a lot.

Hi dailan:

I recommend you read :
EPA Method 200.8, “Determination of Trace Elements In Water and Wastes By Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry,” Revision 5.4, Methods for the Determination of Metals in Environmental Samples-Supplement I, EPA/600/R-94-111, May 1994.

You can get a pdf copy on:
http://web1.er.usgs.gov/nemi/method_pdf/4665.pdf

This method is used by EPA to determinate Arsenic in Ground Water & Drinking Water

Best regards and Happy Hollidays
