Title: VSEPR theory
Post by: jacobcolbert on March 12, 2007, 09:17:42 PM
How does the electronegativity of the central atom in AX2E2 affect the bond angles. More specifically, I know H2O has a higher bond angle than H2S, but I'm having trouble justifying it to myself. Thanks for the help.

you have to consider in which direction the electrons are drawn
