Title: ZnCl2 solder
Post by: angeloposteraro on March 16, 2007, 01:51:13 AM
Hello to all, I have a question regarding zinc chloride based solder,

what is it that they add to it to make it a paste, and how could I remove this substance, for I wish to create fairly pure ZnCl2

or perhaps one could suggest a better way, i am only a home chemist with limited products, but i have zinc metal and the popular chloride containing compounds (bleach, salt, KCL, NH4Cl)

perhaps formation from one of these would be favourable,

all help is much appreciated
