Post by: Way on August 05, 2007, 12:10:00 AM
May somebody tell me how to write the discussion for the experiment "empirical formula of a compound" ? My experiment`s objective is to determine the empirical formula of lead iodine .
So , how to write the discussion ? I have no idea about that ... ???
Please , somebody please help me .

In general, in the discussion section of a scientific report, you summarize the findings and comment on whether you think your findings are correct.  Does the empirical formula that you came up with make sense?  What are the advantages and disadvantages of the methods you used?  What sources of error could have caused your results to be wrong?  Are there any improvements you can make?  For some experiments, you can also discuss the significance of your findings in your report (for example, tell us why you are finding the empirical formula of lead iodide in the first place?).
