I'm currently working on iodine clock reaction project that involves the use of potassium peroxydisulfate. I have to wait for 2 weeks to receive the chemical for the experiment, but i need to have it as soon as possible, simply because the project without it is in dead end. So i have thought of synthesising it. What chemicals should i use? (i've read out somewhere that H2SO4 and conc. H2O2 should do for acid... but whats the method for synthesis, except the elecrolysis?). Since its a powerfull oxydiser, nasty thing, will school chem lab go as a place to make the stuff? And can i easily, without any hazards make a 0.04 mol/dm3 standard solution? Please help out. Thanks in advance. ;D
