Post by: dvarletta84 on November 11, 2007, 05:42:18 PM
Calculate the activity coefficient of Zn2+ when the ionic strength (mu) = 0.0083M
a) Using the extended DH equation
b) By linear extrapolation

Very simple. In part (a), just subst the value into the extended Debye Huckel equation.

(b) Please remember how activity coefficient relates to charges or ionic strength!
