Title: conversion...need help

i needed to convert cyclohexene to cyclopentane attached to CH2OH on any carbon and CH(CH2OH)2 on the next. in exactly 5 steps...

also is there some website or book or some such thing that gives very specific info abt organic compounds without having to go thru all the usual stuff...

I don't understand what your product looks like.  Can you draw it and post a picture?

i was tryin to draw it but my comps malfunctioning ...

it could be named 1-(ethanol)-2-(1,1ethanolmethane)-cyclopentane
