Title: 1,1-diphenylethene + 1,1-diphenylethane in "acid"
Post by: ponchi420 on November 24, 2007, 06:49:17 PM
Hi everybody, thanks for the great reply to my last post....here is another one I am having a prob with:

1,1-diphenylethene + 1,1-diphenylethane in "acid" = ?

I can see that in acid the "di-benzyl" position of the ethene would have an increased cation characteristic, but I can't see where that would go.  My vote is for "no reaction" but i am hoping for a second opinion.  Thanks alot.
