Title: Titration to determine a aluminum content in caustic
Post by: marinazgb on February 08, 2008, 05:26:39 AM
We have some problems concerning calculation percentage of NaOH and % of Al. This method includes NaF (it liberates alkalinity bounded by aluminium).

The calculation goes (2P1 - 1/3 P2 - m) * 0,04 = NaOH %, P1, P2 and m are parameters.
Is this what they meant????
((2P1 - 1)/(3 P2 - m)) * 0,04 = NaOH %???

And does anybody knows whats the maximum concentration of Aluminium in caustic? After which concentration does not increase in solution no mater how much do you add Al.

What you have posted doesn't make sense, you must explain what is what of what.
