Title: A question about anerobic oxidation

   What is the maximum number of molecules of ATP that can be generated by a bacterium after the complete aerobic oxidation of a fat molecule containing three 12-carbon chains? (Assume that all the available energy released during catabolism goes to ATP production.)

I think the maximum number will be 114. Am I right?

Next question is.
In terms of its effects on metabolism, why is a fever over 40℃ often life threatening?

It is because the higher temperature means more bacteria were grew. And high temperature can cause different kind of disease.

Am I right?

For the first question, Idon't know..
For the second quetion, I think it's threatening because under high temperature, most enzymes in our body cannot are inactive or even will be denatured.
