How do yeast cells make alcohol and cause bread to rise?

In an oxygen-absent condition, yeast cells carry out anaerobic respiration .(which is also called alcoholic fermentation.)The equation is as follow:
glucose--> ethanol + carbon dioxide + energy
During baking, it's the CO2 which rises up the dough!!
Also, the ethanol produced is evaporated during baking, but you can still smell it if you are sensitive enough.
