A small amount of SnI2 in 2mL H20 is acidified with dilute H2SO4. 1 mL of CHCl3 is added, then KMnO4 is added dropwise. What forms in this reaction???

CHCl3 is a solvent for this product

Ok...so would the product be Mn2+ ions and Sn4+ ions??
