Title: Question about U.S. patent 3,781,289 by the Upjohn Company regarding Triazolo's

On page 10 of the patent, example 6, it states that after the first method resulted in "8-chloro-1-methyl-6-phenyl-4H-s-triazol(4,3-a)(1,4)benzodiazepine".  It also states that it yielded "8-chloro-1-methyl-6-phenyl-4H-s-triazolo(4,3-a)(1,4) benzodiazepine". 

If alprazolam is "8-chloro-1-methyl-6-phenyl-4H-s-triazolo(4,3-a)(1,4)benzodiazepine", what is the difference between that chemical and "8-chloro-1-methyl-6-phenyl-4H-s-triazol(4,3-a)(1,4)benzodiazepine".

Patents are specifically written to satisfy the need to specify clearly what is being claimed in the patent, but at the same time to be deliberately too ambiguous to copy. If the document truly says the same thing three times as if they were 3 different things, well, that really is just that, and nothing else.
