Hi, everyone....I was wondering if someone could help me with drawing the products of the following two reactions
1. CH3CH2MgBr in ether + PhC(=O)OH
2. PhC(=0)CH3 + I2/-OH
Thanks.

1. Grignard reaction
2. Halofofm reaction

First reaction : the product for the first reaction is ethane. The grignard reagents are sensitive to acids and even to moistures so we have to perform this reaction in N2 atmosphere. CH3CH2- anion picks ups a proton from acid.
Second reaction: the product is benzoic acid and iodoform
