Title: Reversible Dioxygen Uptake by Cobalt Schiff Bases
Post by: Dolphinsiu on May 04, 2008, 07:50:40 AM
Why primary amine is a better axial ligand for CoII(salen) for oxygen binding than secondary amine? (larger formation constant in Dioxygen cobalt complex for primary amine)

Is it related to basicity? availablilty to donate lone pair to stablilize the electron-deficient metal center?
