Title: Rheometry - Viscous response to dynamic oscillatory shear rheometry

Accordingly, it is said that the stress that you apply to a viscous system will result in 90 degree out of phase of strain rate.

(i.e. sine wave stress = cosine wave strain)

Question: Why's that so?
