Title: Question about Homogenization
Post by: zerokun on May 27, 2008, 09:35:45 PM
Hi, i am just wondering about this question :

Q-In crude homogenate there are often other substances present which can interfere with spectrophometric assays like the biuret assays.
How can you correct for the substances in the homogenate that absorb at 540 nm in the absence of biuret reagent .

I thought that we use blank for the homogenate and that can cancel out the absorption effect of homogenate . Is that right ?
does anyone has any idea about this question ?
