Title: Writing science as a master of science

Hello people!

I just registered to this site few minutes ago, so a newbie here :P

I graduated from the University of Helsinki last December with a masters degree in organic chemistry. Although I haven't gone into research (yet?), I am somewhat interested in writing and research. Yet I have a problem...

I would like to write and research some scientific and especially chemical topics to improve my skill of writing and research. I has been thinking about blogging, because then people could comment and criticize my writings.

I would like to ask you if this sounds like a good idea? How do bloggers get or come up with their topics? I don't have access to a wide variety of research papers, so my sources are limited. Do you have any idea how and where to find information about a certain topic?

The problem with blogging is, it has to be interesting for people to read it.

You could try going here:
http://www.doaj.org/
Finding journals in the field you are interested in, and finding topics that interest you, and the writing critics about them. See if that helps.
