Title: Uranium extraction
Post by: Vortex on June 30, 2008, 03:37:01 PM
http://www.unitednuclear.com/extract.htm

I wait for a looong time part 2 but... until now nothing. Perhaps you can tell me with details what are we doing in part 2?? Thanks in advance.

-I have not intention to do this and expose my self to radiation, i just want to know.

Guess I don't see any harm in saying as you can't hardly do this yourself and the tech is readily known anyway.  You have to make US6 I think it is out of the two isotopes, which is a gas, and it can be distilled from their due to the weight difference, then broken back down into the respective isotopes.

I doubt in US6, they don't plan to separate isotopes, but just to extract uranium.

Yes they dont, but i would like to know after the extraction how we separate U-235 and U-238.  ;)

I was remembering incorrectly.  Pretty sure it's UF6
