Hello everyone ;),
I have a suggestion. I think it would be great with the snack system if you know who gave you the snack and the reason. For example in other sites I have seen that if you want to give some one some points a small box comes up where you can write the reason in few words. Then when we are go to our profiles we can see who gave snacks for what reasons etc. What do you guys think?

i actually appreciate the anonymity. considering i only have one negative snack and i would much rather know why i received it merely b/c i would like to correct it.
knowing "who" can make it emotional and throw the dynamics away from the subjects discussed.

I don't care about the who, but it is nice to have a why. Like an optional pop-up that the person can include a message about why they are giving it to you. I guess someone might be able to figure out who it was based on the message, or even I suppose a link to the thread that it was given from that would be cool too.

I believe the admins determined that we had enough problems with snacks. So they did not want to set up a situation where we had a snack war going on.
Most negative snacks happen because you violate the rules, which many people do not read.
For instance saying, "help me" in the title of the question
Or
Not showing what work they did so far
Many hate the lazy people
Since I moderate a room not prone to this – I do not think I ever gave out a negative snack

I'm sure people give/take snacks for different reasons - It's just a bit of fun on the back of what is a serious forum otherwise. I usually give them for helpfulness/cleverness or even if the person makes me laugh. I've even given a couple out because I like the person's avatar (sad really ;D).
I have taken snacks before - reasons are either rudeness or wrong information presented as undesputable facts.

Sometimes people take snacks when you tell them to do the work them selves, but we will help.
Am I the only one who thinks Snacks should be called obeisance instead. Make people use a dictionary every now and then!
