Title: Potassium Perchlorate from Perchloric Acid
Post by: zilalti on July 21, 2008, 04:25:36 PM
Can any of you think of a simple way to to make Potassium Perchlorate from Perchloric acid.

I was thinking something like KCl + HClO4 --> HCl + KClO4

Better - KOH, K2CO3, CH3COOK (salts of weak acids) but even with KCl  synthesis will work because KClO4 is only slightly soluble in water
(with KCl can obtain a mixture of KCl and KClO4)
