Title: Materials help, please
Post by: BigBadBoy on April 09, 2005, 11:11:34 PM
hey, My name's michael, and i'm brand spankin new here
because i'm not exactly sure where the right place would be to ask this question, i figured this qualifies as a "general science question."

I'm looking to buy (however cannot find anwywhere!!!) hv wire that is completly uninsulated.  this wire should be able to handle voltages of up to about 250kv or higher, however i would settle for 50kv.  the reason for my needing uninsulated wire is because it will have to be as thin as possible in order to garentee absolute accruacy in placement.  insulation would have to be added afterwards in a very careful and methodical manner.  time working on a personal project, but time is of some importance because i've got the need to bragg to a friend of mine.

any help you can share with me would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks a lot!
