Title: amine and carboxylic coupling reacation
Post by: profmsg on July 30, 2008, 09:40:03 AM
hi,
im trying to get coupling reaction between compound containing -NH2 and compound containing -COOH group. i used mes bufer and edc in ice bath. i extracted product in acetonitrile wash. however, the product is in oil form. but i want the product in powder or crystal forms. anybody have any idea, how to convert product in powder.
thanks

Probably not going to happen.  Is it a known compound that is known to be a solid?  You can't just will things to crystallize.  What's the rest of the structure look like?

actually, the compound is long chain molecule with similar like this -sH IN ONE SIDE AND BISPHOSPHONATE ON OTHER SIDE...
THE COMPOUND IS SIMILAR TO THE COMPOUND AS IN BELOW JOURNAL

This comopund?  I thought you said it was a long chain molecule?  Is there a way you can post your molecule?
