Title: growing crystals?

I read in another forum, where someone said he grew alum crystals at home.
CAn anyone tell me what was he talking about?

Google growing alum crystals or search the forums, I think we have posted links to sites discussing techniques and giving procedures. Alum crystals are relatively easy to grow.
