Title: allylbenzene synthesis from allyl alcohol and benzene
Post by: neuro on August 24, 2008, 05:34:24 AM
 ;D Hello everybody!!

I have some troubles in synthesis. I mixed up allyl alcohol and twice more benzene, removed the layer of water at the bottom, added AlCl3 that was dehidrated on fire, let the mixture stay for the night.

In the borning I boiled it and everything moved out at the temperature of 80 degrees, so everythjing is dissolved in benzene or something. Can anybody help me in getting pure allylbenzene in this way?

Thanks a lot.

Dmytro.
