Title: Hydrochloric acid with iron (II) sulphide
Post by: buffy121 on September 13, 2008, 11:18:55 PM
In an experiment to prepare H2S, 100mL of 0.500mol/L HCL solution was added to 1.10g of solid FeS.
Which reagent is in excess? Please show me how to work this out!

What is the balanced equation for that reaction?

The equation is FeS + 2HCL = FeCl2 + H2S
