Title: What do H2CrO4 and excess methyl hydroxide do in alcohol reactions?

Phenol + H₂CrO₄ ---> ?

Cyclic ketone + excess CH₃OH AND HCl ---> ?

I have scoured my textbook and notes for an example of either and I cannot find anything.
