Title: Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Solvent
Post by: wasil on November 12, 2008, 03:29:17 PM
Hello everyone,

I am new here and I am not sure if this is the right place to post.
I am not in to chemistry but I would need some help,
I am looking for a Ethylene Vinyl Acetate solvent, some substance that it is easy to get, not some exotic stuff.
Basically I need a solvent to disolve the coating from the back of laminating pouch.
I would highly apreciate if anybody can help me and name the substances that can do that .
I apologise for my bad english.
Thank you.

I think a standard painting Acetone would work. go to your local hardware store and you can pick up a quart for about 9 dollars.  it should dissolve thin plastics as long as they arent HDPE

Try biodiesel or Crisco.  The Crisco will take some time, perhaps overnight.
