Title: p-toluenesulfonic acid with a ketone
Post by: physstudent1 on February 26, 2009, 09:47:03 PM
(https://www.chemicalforums.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg155.imageshack.us%2Fimg155%2F7863%2Fsulfonic.gif&hash=dda0697c823ed779ead14edfcc2b2c22576d2119) I have no idea what happens here, I saw that carboxyclic acids can turn ketones into esters but there is nothing with p-toluenesulfonic acid in my book I've searched the chapter many times now can you help me please?
