Title: Sodium Hydroxide dissolved in Ethanol

Hi, All
Whenever i dissolve sodium Hydroxide in Ethanol and leave it as such for ,say, 24 hrs or more, solution gets brown red. Same is the case when sodium ethoxide id dissolved in ethnol. I wonder what has happened. What thing is making color.
