Title: Help me please--> Fluid mechanics
Post by: soso lulu on March 14, 2009, 11:07:22 AM
A turbine is supplied with 0.6 m3/s of water from a 0.3 m diameter pipe; the
discharge pipe has 0.4 m diameter. Determine the pressure drop across the
turbine if it delivers 60 kW.

I want to know ,do we have to use this equation

dM in(u+(p(pressure)/p(density))+gz+v^2/2) in -dM out (u+(p(pressure)/p(density))+gz+v^2/2) out +dQ-dW=d[M(u+gz+v^2/2) sys)]

, and 0.6m3/s will be used in this problem!!

Please help me : (
