Post by: BrooklynsMVP on April 05, 2009, 07:59:47 PM
1.) what is the mass in grams of 4.25 mol of (NH4) 2CO3?

2.) How many grams of oxygen are presented in 0.50 mol of ozone, O3?

3.)How many grams of oxygen are presented in 88.0 g of CO2?

Do you know the relationship between moles and grams?

If I have 5 marbles in a bucket, how many marbles do I have in 4.25 buckets?
If there are 96.0861 grams in a mole, how many grams do you have in 4.25 moles?

Yup!  But I would possibly include 96.09, or 96.086, and make your answer more accurate.

So, now #2:

How many moles of oxygen are there are in 1 mole of O3?
How many moles of oxygen are there in 0.5 moles of O3?

Now, solve the same way, use that answer and the molar mass of oxygen to find the mass.
