Hi everybody !!!
What could be the possible reasons behind the partial as well as complete reduction of  Nicotinic acid ester ?

What do you understand complete reduction to be, in this case - there are several reducible functional groups in your molecule.

My concern is the quaternised pyridyl ring reduction using borohydrides.
